Want to take your professional life in a completely new direction, but don’t know where to start? That’s the most common experience for most people in both personal and professional ventures. We all have incredibly busy lives, so how are we supposed to fit new ventures into our already very full ventures?
The trick lies in self-imposed deadlines. Almost everyone sets self deadlines, but very few people actually follow them. But that’s where your success lies. In order to change the status quo and reach new levels of success that may currently seem unattainable to you, you must establish a timeline and framework for the tasks that may seem like too much but are really necessary to change your life.
It doesn’t help if you create unattainable deadlines, so start small. Even if your deadline is something like, Call xyz person within the next seven days — it must be achievable but productive. People tend to miss deadlines most of all because the goals they set are unrealistic. So instead they get discouraged and fail to meet their own goals.
Be realistic with yourself and reach your next level at the same time. Set realistic goals for yourself to move yourself constantly forward.
